Union Home Minister Amit Shah rallied BJP workers in Samastipur, Bihar, on Saturday, energizing supporters from the Mithila and Tirhut regions ahead of the state’s crucial Assembly elections.
In a post on X, Shah highlighted how these dedicated workers are pushing forward with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the goal of a Developed Bihar. Their aim? To connect with every resident and secure a huge win for the NDA alliance in the upcoming polls.
Speaking at the meeting, Shah said he gathered district-level BJP workers from 12 organizational districts in these regions. He gave them clear instructions to spread Modi’s vision far and wide, ensuring the NDA gets a massive majority.
Earlier in the day, Shah fired up party members in Araria, Bihar. He framed the elections as a fight to remove infiltrators from the state. “This election is about driving out all infiltrators from Bihar’s sacred land,” Shah promised, vowing that the BJP would make it happen if the NDA wins with a two-thirds majority.
Shah didn’t hold back on his criticism of the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leader Lalu Yadav. He accused them of focusing solely on installing Lalu’s son, Tejashwi Yadav, as Chief Minister. “For Rahul Gandhi and Lalu, it’s about their party and making Tejashwi the CM,” Shah said. “But for us BJP workers, it’s about cleansing Bihar of infiltrators and building a stronger state.”
He also slammed the Congress and RJD for widespread corruption during their time in power at the center and in Bihar. “Lalu and his team looted Bihar with scams and frauds,” Shah charged. In contrast, he pointed out that the Modi government, ruling for 11 years, faces zero corruption allegations from the opposition.
To boost morale, Shah talked about why Bihar residents can look forward to celebrating four Diwalis this year—each tied to big wins and promises. The first celebrates Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya with the grand Ram Temple. The second marks Prime Minister Modi’s launch of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, a scheme to boost women’s employment. The third highlights next-generation GST reforms for economic growth.
And the fourth? Shah said it will light up if the BJP-NDA triumphs in the Bihar elections and forms the government, ushering in more progress for the state. ()
