New Delhi – Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has been touring India’s front‑line units to gauge how well the army is ready for modern combat. His latest stops were the Kharga Corps and the Bikaner Military Station, both key posts near the country’s borders.
During his visit to Kharga Corps, the Chief inspected training zones, checkpoints and new tech setups. He met commanders who showed how the unit uses drones, artificial‑intelligence tools and robotics to spot enemies and support infantry. “Our troops have done a superb job in Operation Sindoor,” he said, praising the corps’ drone readiness and operational drills.
General Dwivedi also highlighted new training methods and smart logistics that cut down response times. He commended the corps’ welfare programs for veterans and their families, and lauded the humanitarian work carried out under Operation Rahat.
“Kharga Corps is a shining example of military‑civil fusion,” the Chief told soldiers and officers. “Their professionalism and dedication strengthen our overall security.”
The army’s focus on modernization isn’t limited to Kharga. At Bikaner Military Station, the Chief reviewed how desert‑ready units keep up with technology and coordinated missions across agencies. “Integrating tech at every level is key to maintaining high readiness,” he added.
General Dwivedi urged tighter cooperation between the armed forces, government, industry, academia and society. He stressed that veterans’ experience remains vital as India strengthens its defense posture.
His tour underscores the Indian Army’s drive toward modernization, drone‑enabled warfare, and stronger border security—all while boosting morale among the troops.
