Indian Army Inspires Youth with Career Talk in Assam
In Shillong, Meghalaya, the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi teamed up with ZRO Shillong to host an exciting outreach program for young students. Held at Brahmaputra Hall in Narangi Cantonment on Wednesday, the event drew 367 eager participants from Golaghat, Darrang, and Hailakandi districts. These students are part of the AROHAN scheme run by the Assam State Government, aimed at boosting youth opportunities.
The program kicked off with a motivational lecture that gave students a real glimpse into life in the Indian Armed Forces. Organizers shared inspiring stories about the Army’s operational strength, quick decision-making, and unbreakable resilience. They also highlighted Operation Sindoor, a key initiative that showcases the forces’ dedication.
Students learned about diverse career options in the Army, from frontline roles to leadership positions. The talk emphasized core values like discipline, teamwork, and serving the nation—qualities that make a soldier’s life both challenging and rewarding. It sparked a strong sense of patriotism and pride among the attendees, helping them connect with the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
What made the event even better was its interactive style. The ARO Narangi team, led by the Director, encouraged questions from the students. Kids asked about recruitment processes, eligibility criteria, and what daily life in defence services really looks like. This hands-on approach cleared doubts and motivated many to consider a future in the military.
Officials say the program ran smoothly, fostering meaningful chats and inspiring the next generation. Events like this play a big role in guiding Assam’s youth toward Armed Forces careers and building national pride.
