Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta praised the Arya Samaj’s historic role in shaping society and nation-building during events in the capital on Sunday. She highlighted how the organization’s ideals inspire everyone to create a cleaner, more beautiful, and prosperous Delhi under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.
Speaking at programs organized by the Arya Samaj, Gupta shared her admiration for PM Modi. “He’s not just a politician but like a saint,” she said. “In his 26-27 years of public life, he’s never taken a single day’s leave and works tirelessly for the nation’s welfare.” This dedication ties into the Arya Samaj’s focus on public service and social upliftment.
Gupta attended the 47th Foundation Day of the Central Arya Yuvak Parishad in Defence Colony and the closing ceremony of the annual festival at Arya Samaj Ved Mandir in Pitampura. There, she emphasized Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings on truth, harmony, and values. “His work on women’s empowerment is priceless,” she noted. “Thanks to his efforts, daughters now get real opportunities to grow—and that’s how I became Chief Minister.”
She called Maharishi Dayanand’s life deeply inspiring and urged people to follow his path. “Events like these, full of Vedic culture and values, spark service, morality, and unity in our society,” Gupta said. She also spotlighted the 150th birth anniversary year of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati as a time of inspiration for India.
Praising the Arya Samaj’s ongoing energy and strong organization, Gupta described its traditions as Delhi’s proud heritage. She appealed to everyone to unite in service, uphold values, and build a brighter future together.
