Tejashwi Yadav, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and the opposition head in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, has highlighted a bold plan for voters as the state gears up for its two‑phase assembly elections. He repeated a clear promise: every family in Bihar will get a government job.
The elections will be held in 243 constituencies on November 6 and November 11, with counting on November 14. Yadav told reporters that the new government, formed under the Mahagathbandhan coalition, will pass laws in just 20 days to secure a public sector job for each household. “From November 14 onward, the people of Bihar will be free from unemployment,” he said.
In a press conference, Yadav stressed that families without current government employment will be offered jobs once the new assembly is convened. His message echoes the RJD’s focus on job creation and social welfare.
Meanwhile, former Jehanabad Member of Parliament Arun Kumar has re‑joined the Janata Dal (United) party. Kumar praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, calling him “very honest” and highlighting Bihar’s development. He said he would work hard to strengthen the JD(U) and support the state’s progress.
The upcoming election will pit the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP and JD(U), against the INDIA coalition, headed by Tejashwi Yadav. The INDIA bloc includes the Congress, CPI‑ML, CPI, and CPM, plus the Vikasheel Insaan Party. Political strategist Prashant Kishor also claims he can capture all 243 seats.
Voters in Bihar now face a choice between stable development under the BJP‑JD(U) alliance and the RJD’s promise of guaranteed jobs and reduced unemployment. The results on November 14 will decide the state’s future direction.
