New Delhi – In a clear message to followers, Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal said on Saturday that the upcoming seat‑sharing deal for the Bihar assembly elections will come from a joint announcement by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders. He urged people to ignore unverified numbers that have been circulating on social media and said the final decision rests with the NDA’s top leadership.
Jaiswal told reporters the NDA is united and has already made “solid steps forward.” He said no single party is setting the terms on its own; all five parties in the alliance will decide together. “The announcement will come from us,” he said, emphasizing that the NDA will publish the seat allocation details themselves.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary echoed this sentiment, saying discussions over seat sharing are close to conclusion. He added that internal talks are “ongoing” and the results will be announced soon, noting that every party is satisfied with the talks.
The election race in Bihar is shaping up as a straight fight between the NDA— which currently holds 131 of the 243 assembly seats— and the Mahagathbandhan led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), which has 111 seats. The Election Commission has set the voting schedule: the 243 seats will be contested in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting and result counting on November 14.
So if you’re tracking the Bihar assembly elections, keep an eye on the NDA’s official announcement for the final seat‑sharing plan. This will set the stage for the 2025 state elections and determine how the political map of Bihar will look after the polls.
