Patna, Oct. 18 () —
Tripura’s Chief Minister, Manik Saha, is on the road to Patna to boost the BJP’s campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections. He told a packed crowd that the BJP will win big and that voters in Bihar are ready for clean, development‑focused governance.
Saha, who former headed the BJP in Tripura, spoke at a large assembly meeting in Ramnagar and Bagaha, the two places where the party is filing candidates. “People in Bihar will not let jungle‑rule return,” he said. “They want real progress, and only the BJP can deliver that.”
Bihar has 243 seats and the election will be run in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results expected on the 14th. Saha highlighted the significance of Champaran district, which has nine seats, and predicted a BJP sweep there. He noted that the upcoming poll will be a turning point for the state’s future.
“I’ve spent five years in Patna studying medicine, and I feel at home here,” Saha said. “Bihar exports bright talent – it is truly the soul of India.”
He recalled Tripura’s transformation—from a region plagued by insurgency to a development success story under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Now our state is free from terror and is progressing on all fronts: highways, internet, railways, and airways,” he added.
Saha urged voters to head to the polls early to support BJP candidates and keep development on track. “Bihar once suffered under jungle rule during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s era. That era is over. The BJP is the only party that can guarantee sustainable progress,” he urged.
With Modi backing the campaign and a strong push on central schemes for farmers and infrastructure, the BJP aims to secure a landslide victory in Bihar’s next election.
