BJP Strengthens Telangana Unit with New Office-Bearers
In a big move to boost its presence in Telangana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced 22 new office-bearers for its state unit. This comes straight from BJP state president N. Ramchander Rao, who shared the list after getting the green light from national president J. P. Nadda.
The fresh appointments include eight vice-presidents, three general secretaries, eight secretaries, and a few key roles like treasurer and spokesperson. Rao, who took over as state president on July 1 this year, congratulated everyone and said this team will help the party grow stronger in Telangana.
Let’s break down the key names. The vice-presidents are Burra Narsaiah Goud, Kasam Venkateswarlu Yadav, Bhandari Shanthi Kumar, M. Jayasree, Kolli Madhavi, Jarupulavath Gopi (also known as Kalyan Naik), Raghu Nath Rao, and Banda Karthika Reddy.
For general secretaries, the party picked N. Goutham Rao, T. Veerender Goud, and Vemula Ashok. The secretaries include O. Srinivas Reddy, Koppu Bhasha, Bharat Prashad, Bandaru Vijayalakshmi, Sravanthi Reddy, Karnam Parinitha, Baddam Mahipal Reddy, and Tutupalli Ravi Kumar.
In other important spots, Devki Vasudev steps in as treasurer, Vijay Surana Jain as joint treasurer, and N. V. Subhash as chief spokesperson.
BJP also named leaders for its seven morchas, which focus on different groups. Mekala Shilpa Reddy will lead the Mahila Morcha for women. Ganesh Kunde takes charge of the Yuva Morcha for youth. Farmers’ Kisan Morcha goes to Baswapuram Laxminarsaiah.
For social categories, Kanthi Kiran heads the SC Morcha, Nenavath Ravi Naik leads the ST Morcha, Gandamalla Anand Goud runs the OBC Morcha, and Sardar Jagmohan Singh will guide the Minority Morcha.
This announcement feels like a fresh start for BJP in Telangana. Remember, Rao replaced Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who held the post since 2023. Under Kishan Reddy, the party won just eight seats in the 119-member Telangana Assembly elections. But things picked up in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, where BJP doubled its seats to eight – a solid sign of growing support.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar joined in the cheers. He wished the new team luck and said they should work hard under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, J. P. Nadda’s leadership, and Rao’s direction to make BJP even stronger in Telangana.
With these changes, BJP Telangana seems all set to ramp up its efforts ahead of future elections. Stay tuned for more updates on Indian politics!
