BJP delegation to visit Karur, to probe stamped incident and meet victim families

After a heartbreaking stampede at the TVK party’s rally in Karur, Tamil Nadu, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is stepping up with condolences for the families who lost loved ones. The tragedy, which struck on September 30, has plunged the area into grief, and BJP leaders are responding quickly.

BJP National President JP Nadda voiced his deep sadness over the incident. To show support, he’s sending a high-level team from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to Karur. This group of senior MPs from NDA parties aims to connect personally with the affected families and offer comfort.

Hema Malini, a BJP MP, will lead the delegation as convener. Joining her are Anurag Thakur, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Tejasvi Surya, and Brijlal. The team also includes Shrikant Shinde from Shiv Sena, Aprajita Sarangi, Rekha Sharma, and Putta Mahesh Kumar from TDP.

The group plans to head to Karur soon. They’ll deliver condolences face-to-face, check on the ground situation, and work with local officials to boost relief and recovery efforts. They also intend to investigate the stampede’s causes and share a report as soon as possible.

This effort highlights the BJP’s dedication to helping people during tough times, no matter their political ties. In an official statement, the party stressed its focus on empathy and togetherness for the grieving families in this Tamil Nadu tragedy.
