In a fiery speech at a packed rally in Bihar’s Katihar district, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi took sharp aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking in the Balrampur Assembly constituency, Owaisi accused the BJP top brass of tarnishing the reputation of people in the Seemanchal region ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Thousands of supporters gathered at the PWD ground in Barsoi, with folks arriving from nearby villages and towns as early as dawn. Owaisi rallied the crowd, saying, “We will beat Amit Shah and Narendra Modi. Vote for AIMIM, and we’ll crush the BJP and RSS. We’ll stand up to those who let us down and fight for your rights to shake things up from top to bottom.”
He hit back hard at Shah’s recent remarks calling out infiltrators in Seemanchal. “Every time I visit, Modi and Shah smear Seemanchal folks as infiltrators,” Owaisi said. “Everyone here is Indian—no one’s from Bangladesh. Don’t let them scare you.” Owaisi slammed the BJP for pushing fear-mongering and divisive communal talk to split communities as polls near.
Spotlighting local woes, Owaisi pointed to spotty electricity and scarce healthcare in the area. “Will you put up with this?” he asked the cheering crowd. “If not, pick your own MLA to fix it.” He urged voters to wield their power at the ballot box, adding that only bold choices would bring leaders focused on Seemanchal’s growth.
Owaisi shared the stage with AIMIM’s Bihar chief Akhtarul Iman, spokesperson Adil Hasan, and other key party figures.
Earlier that day, Amit Shah addressed BJP workers in nearby Forbesganj, Araria district. He vowed tough measures against infiltrators in Seemanchal, promising, “Give us a strong win, and we’ll root them out one by one.” Shah contrasted his stance with opposition parties like those of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, claiming they shield such elements while the BJP aims to drive them away.
