Yogi Adityanath Praises RMLIMS for Top Medical Ranking in Uttar Pradesh
In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the Foundation Day celebrations at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) on Saturday. He gave a big shoutout to the institute, calling it one of the top three medical colleges in the state. "This success proves our direction and leadership are spot on," Yogi said during his speech.
Yogi didn’t shy away from sharing how tough things were during the COVID-19 crisis. He recalled the early days when Uttar Pradesh wasn’t fully prepared for such a massive pandemic. "Our generation faced something like this for the first time. When the first COVID-19 patient arrived, we had no testing labs in the state," he explained.
But the state stepped up quickly. "We sent samples to places like Safdarjung Hospital, AIIMS Delhi, and NIV Pune. Soon, we built our own facilities right here," Yogi added. He highlighted innovative steps, like setting up virtual ICUs that worked wonders at institutes such as SGPGI, KGMU, and RMLIMS. These efforts turned challenges into success stories for Uttar Pradesh’s healthcare system.
Yogi Pays Tribute to Swami Haryacharya in Ayodhya
The day before, on Friday, Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya to mark the 17th death anniversary of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Haryacharya Ji Maharaj. At a special event in the holy city, he offered deep respects to the saint, who played a key role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the traditions of Sanatan Dharma.
"It’s an honor to be in Ayodhya Dham and touch this sacred ground," Yogi told the crowd. He shared a recent highlight: Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Chandra Ramgoolam and his team visited Ayodhya. They had darshan of Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and asked about the temple’s history.
Yogi explained, "It took around 500 years to rebuild the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. For five centuries, devotees fought tirelessly for their faith, facing huge hurdles, and finally won." He called the grand Ram Temple and the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla’s idol a huge milestone for everyone.
