Arrests Made in Connection with the Killing

The police have arrested four suspects involved in the murder of Vishu, and raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused. SP (Rural) Kamlesh Bahadur is leading a heavy police force deployed in and around the village to control the situation.

Police Intervened Timely to Control the Situation

The senior cop stated that the timely intervention of the police has prevented the situation from deteriorating further. He added that the police have registered a case against five people involved in the incident, and the situation is now under control.

The Killing of Vishu Triggered the Violence

Vishu was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants on Sunday evening, which created an uproar in the village. The family members of the victim accused members of the minority community of being behind the murder. They claimed that Vishu had a confrontation with some Muslim youths during Holi, and his killing was a result of that altercation.

Angry Villagers Set Houses on Fire

The tension escalated further when Vishu’s body was brought back to the village after the post-mortem. A group of angry villagers attacked the houses of two of the accused and set them on fire.

Police Rushed to the Village to Pacify the Situation

The situation turned violent, and it took the intervention of the SSP Meerut Rohit Kumar Sajwan and SP (rural) Kamlesh Bahadur to rush to the village with a heavy police force to pacify the situation.

The incident has led to communal tension in the area, and it is essential to maintain law and order in the region. The police have arrested the suspects involved in the murder, and further investigation is underway. It is crucial to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure peace and harmony in the community.
