Hyderabad, Dec 2 (LatestNewsX) – Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy declared on Tuesday that the Congress party stands ready to confront Prime Minister Narendra Modi over what he called false allegations filed against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi.

He claimed that the only purpose of the money‑laundering probes was to distract the electorate from Rahul Gandhi’s “Vote Chori” campaign that has been rolled out nationwide.

Speaking at the TPCC State Executive meeting, the CM sharply denounced the Modi administration’s “vendetta politics” aimed at the Gandhi family. He reiterated that the money‑laundering case in the National Herald newspaper matter was simply a diversion from the “Vote Chori” push across the country.

“Gandhi family sacrificed their lives for the country,” he stated. He then highlighted the Gandhi family’s role in founding the National Herald newspaper with their own resources and their significant contribution to India’s independence struggle. He further mentioned Sonia and Rahul Gandhi’s efforts to financially support the families of newspaper staff.

The CM noted that Congress placed leaders such as Mallikarjun Kharge on the board of the revived newspaper and clarified that no government funds were used to keep it running; the publication was sustained by assets inherited from Jawaharlal Nehru.

Revanth Reddy announced that the party has adopted a resolution strongly condemning the unjust cases against Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. “We are sending a firm message to Narendra Modi that we will back Sonia and Rahul and fight as far as needed. It is also everyone’s duty to make Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister of India,” he added.

He also revealed that the State Government will allocate substantial funds to upgrade Osmania University to world‑class standards, a project slated to be announced at a meeting at the Arts College on December 7. In addition, the CM will unveil the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document at the upcoming Global Summit, which aims to build a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

The CP discussed the state’s development strategy that divides the territory into three zones: the Core Urban Region (CURE), the Peri‑Urban Region (PURE) and the Rural Agricultural Region Economy (RARE). Under the plan, polluting industries will be moved from the core urban area to the outskirts of the Outer Ring Road, while development of PURE will occur within the Regional Ring Road and RARE beyond it.

He described the proposed dry port, four new airports, the Hyderabad‑Bangalore Greenfield Highway, and the bullet train endorsed by the central government as “game changers.”

The CM urged party leaders to promote the welfare and development schemes that the government has rolled out directly to households across the state. He also mentioned that women were delighted with the distribution of Indiramma kurtas.

New district Congress presidents were instructed to handle the distribution of kurtas in coordination with village‑level committees. A total of 65 lakh kurtas will be distributed in rural areas by year‑end, while 35 lakh will reach women in urban areas in March 2026.

“Let’s stage a discussion in every village about the welfare and good governance delivered by the people’s government,” the CM urged.

He accused the previous administration of leaving the state burdened with rising debt, insisting that the Congress government is steering the state toward progress against all odds.
