New Delhi – Police in northeast Delhi responded to a call at 11:27 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, about a stabbing in the Khadar area near Khajuri Chowk. When officers arrived, they found 34‑year‑old Gajender, a barber from Dayalpur, lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds. Gajender’s son of Veerpal was identified as the victim. The body was taken to a hospital for a post‑mortem, and the forensic team collected evidence at the scene.
A murder case was filed under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code at New Usmanpur Police Station. Police have set up special teams to locate and arrest the suspects and are still gathering evidence.
Earlier this month, another tragic stabbing occurred. A 24‑year‑old salesman named Vires died from his injuries at GTB Hospital in Dilshad Garden. Authorities say Vires was stabbed in the neck, abdomen, and chest while at Dear Park. His friend, who was with him at the time, reported that they were robbed by a group of people. Police registered an attempted‑murder case under Section 109(1) of the IPC before the boy died and added a murder charge under Section 103(1).
Investigators at Seemapuri Police Station confirm that Vires was in the park with a 33‑year‑old friend when the attack happened. The police are looking into both stabbing incidents for robbery motives and trying to identify the perpetrators.
