In Delhi, the city’s chief minister, Rekha Gupta, took to X on Saturday to push a new vision for the capital. She called on the many young people in the city—entrepreneurs, athletes, students and social activists—to drive Delhi toward what she calls “Viksit Delhi,” or a developed Delhi. “Delhi’s youthful power is setting new benchmarks in every field, from startups to sports, from education to social innovation,” she said.

Ms Gupta said the government is not only opening doors for the youth but also building a strong foundation so that their ideas can turn into reality. She added that this youthful energy is the greatest asset for a thriving Delhi.

The chief minister also urged residents to help clean and beautify the city. “We will beautify Delhi ourselves, and together we will make our capital clean and beautiful,” she announced on X. “In the last eight months, Delhi has turned cleanliness into a people’s movement.” Delhi’s government continues to push concrete projects for a cleaner and greener city, with residents playing an active role.

In other news, Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena visited the newly renovated Roshanara Club on Friday. The DDA released a statement praising the club’s blend of history and hospitality. After restoration, the club now features updated lounges, a lively bar, and a wider menu of multi‑cuisine dishes. New sports and recreation facilities—billiards, a card room, a children’s play area—join the existing cricket, tennis, badminton, and table‑tennis options.

Future upgrades include an outdoor multi‑cuisine kitchen, a cricket‑view lounge, and refreshed guest rooms, all designed to honour the club’s legacy while adding modern touches. The revamped Roshanara Club promises to keep its historic charm alive while offering guests a contemporary experience.
