Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra is calling on everyone to watch The Bengal Files, a powerful film that uncovers the harsh realities of India’s Partition and the politics of appeasement. After catching a screening, Mishra shared his thoughts, saying the movie lays bare the bitter truth about those dark times. "It’s cinema’s duty to reveal these facts," he added. "Every citizen must see this film. Only those with secrets to hide try to silence voices like this. Every Bengali needs to watch it—it’s the truth some powers-that-be want buried."

Mishra’s strong endorsement comes amid buzz around the film’s release. Earlier, actor-producer Pallavi Joshi penned a letter to President Droupadi Murmu, urging support for a smooth rollout of The Bengal Files in West Bengal. She highlighted claims of an unofficial ban blocking the movie in the state.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri—the filmmaker behind the hit The Kashmir Files from 2022—this latest project dives deep into the communal violence that shook undivided Bengal in the 1940s. It spotlights key events like Direct Action Day and the horrific Noakhali riots of 1946, bringing history’s painful lessons to life.

The star-studded cast includes Bollywood legends Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher, alongside Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi in key roles. If you’re into films that spark real conversations about India’s past, The Bengal Files sounds like a must-watch. Keep an eye out for its release updates!
