BMW-Motorcycle Crash in Delhi: FIR Filed After Rider’s Death on Ring Road
Delhi police have filed an FIR in the tragic BMW car accident near Dhaula Kuan on Ring Road that killed a motorcycle rider. The case, registered as FIR No. 240/25 under sections 281, 125B, 105, and 238 of the BNS, highlights the ongoing probe into the fatal collision.
The accident unfolded on Sunday afternoon around 1 to 1:30 pm. A BMW driven by a woman slammed into a motorcycle carrying a couple, sending them crashing into a nearby bus. The rider, a Ministry of Finance employee from Hari Nagar, died at the scene, while his wife suffered injuries.
Eyewitnesses told police that the woman behind the BMW’s wheel lost control, leading to the deadly smash. The overturned BMW lay on the road, and the bike ended up near Metro pillar 67 at Dhaula Kuan. After the crash, the driver and her husband, who run a business making horse leather saddles, seats, covers, and belts, grabbed a taxi and rushed the injured couple to New Life Hospital in GTB Nagar—about 20 km away.
The hospital later alerted police: one victim dead, the other hurt. The BMW occupants also picked up injuries and remain admitted there. Navnoor Singh, the deceased’s son, shared his heartbreak. "I was at a friend’s place when my mom messaged she was heading to Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. She didn’t answer my calls. Then a family friend called about the accident. They took my parents to a hospital so far away with no proper facilities. Dad was declared dead, but staff said instant death like that is rare. Super-specialty spots like AIIMS are right near Dhaula Kuan—if they’d gone there, maybe he could’ve been saved."
Forensic experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) quickly arrived at the Delhi accident site. They inspected the BMW car and motorcycle to piece together what went wrong in this Ring Road crash. Police are digging deeper under Section 238 of the BNS, which covers hiding evidence or giving false info to protect someone involved.
Cops seized both vehicles and let the crime team scour the area. The BMW hit-and-run investigation continues, with more details expected soon. Delhi traffic police urge riders to stay alert on busy stretches like Ring Road to avoid such heartbreaking motorcycle accidents.
