BJP Leader Siddharth Shirole Shares Heartwarming Memory of First Meeting with PM Narendra Modi
On the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Maharashtra BJP legislator Siddharth Shirole opened up about his unforgettable first encounter with the leader back in 2013. This special moment in Pune not only captured a simple photo but also inspired Shirole to dedicate himself to public service with the same passion and humility that defines Modi.
In a touching post on X, Shirole described how the memory still feels alive in his heart. "Beyond the leader who changed India’s destiny, I saw a man full of simplicity and warmth," he wrote. What stood out most was Modi’s genuine humility. When Shirole asked for a photo, Modi not only agreed with a warm smile but also insisted on including Shirole’s father, Anil Shirole, in the frame. "That small gesture made it a family moment, showing his deep human touch," Shirole added.
The meeting happened during Modi’s historic rally in Pune, where the city buzzed with excitement. Thousands gathered, hopeful for real change in India. At the time, Anil Shirole was the BJP Pune City President, and young Siddharth served as General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
Shirole shared how he presented Modi with a detailed report comparing Gujarat’s development model—under Modi’s leadership—against Congress-ruled states. Modi listened attentively, praised the effort, and even invited Shirole to visit Gujarat for a closer look. "For a young worker like me, that encouragement was life-changing," Shirole recalled. It fueled his resolve to serve society with Modi’s vision, dedication, and down-to-earth style.
Maharashtra’s Birthday Gift: Namo Udyan Parks in 394 Locations
Adding to the celebrations, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced a special initiative as a tribute to PM Modi’s 75th birthday. The state will develop ‘Namo Udyan’ parks in all 394 municipal councils and nagar panchayats, with Rs 1 crore allocated for each one.
Under the new Nagar Panchayat and Nagarpalika scheme, these green spaces will transform local areas within a year. Shinde said, "This is Maharashtra’s way of honoring PM Narendra Modi’s milestone birthday and promoting urban development."
To make it exciting, a competition will judge the best parks at the divisional level. Winners from each division will get prizes: Rs 5 crore for first place, Rs 3 crore for second, and Rs 1 crore for third. These funds will boost further development in the winning municipal councils and panchayats.
This blend of personal stories and community projects highlights the widespread admiration for PM Modi on his special day, from grassroots workers to state leaders.
