Gujarat is gearing up for an exciting Navratri extravaganza! The Vibrant Navratri Festival 2025 kicks off from September 22 to October 1 at Gujarat University Ground in Ahmedabad. Organized by Gujarat Tourism, this year’s event carries the theme “Aahvaan Ma AadyaShakti” and dives deep into the state’s vibrant cultural heritage, spiritual vibes, and community spirit. The Chief Minister’s office shared these details in a recent press release.
The fun starts with a grand inaugural ceremony on September 22, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Tourism Minister Mulubhai Bera, and other special guests will join in. For the first time in Gujarat, the Garba dance area gets a cool upgrade: an amphitheatre-style setup with comfy seating for an up-close, immersive experience. On opening day, more than 1,000 artists from across the state will light up the stage with traditional Garba forms like Prachin, Arvachin, and Rash Dandiya. The Youth and Cultural Activities Department is teaming up to make it happen.
Visitors will love the Thematic Gates at the entrance, including the stunning Kalash Gate that stands for prosperity and devotion. It adds that perfect touch of Navratri magic to the whole vibe.
To get everyone dancing, organizers have set up nine special Garba zones for groups of up to 50 people each. Tickets cost just Rs 100 per person, and you can grab group passes for 25 or 15 members via BookMyShow. It’s a safe, private spot to enjoy the festivities with your crew.
There’s plenty more to keep you hooked! Check out fun Selfie Points and Photo Zones, join the grand Maha Aarti, explore Kids City (Bal Nagari), dig into the Food Court, or browse the Handicraft Bazaar. These spots cater to families, friends, and solo adventurers alike.
Kids get their own adventure in Kids City, with hands-on fun like a mini TV Studio, more Selfie Points, a Games Zone, and even a VR Zone to spark creativity and learning.
Food lovers, rejoice—26 stalls will serve up tasty local and regional dishes. Plus, handicraft enthusiasts can shop from stalls run by GLPC (Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company) and Garvi Gujarat, where local artisans showcase and sell their handmade treasures.
From September 22 to October 1, a lineup of talented artists will keep the energy high. The full schedule drops soon, but we already know stars like Sameer and Mana Raval, Prahar Vora, Kajal Maheriya, Yash Barot, Osmanbhai Mir, Narayan Thakkar, Jignesh Kaviraj, Abhitaben Patel, Payal Vakhariya, and Lalitya Munsha will perform over the 10 days.
This Vibrant Navratri Festival 2025 is all about uniting communities, honoring Gujarat’s traditions, and creating memories that last. Ready to join? Head to BookMyShow for tickets and group bookings, or check the Gujarat Tourism website for more details. Don’t miss out on this Garba-filled celebration!
