Gujarat: CM Bhupendra Patel showcases humility by handing mic to visually impaired student and listening to her words

In Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel once again showed his warm and humble side, especially towards children. This touching moment happened at the Elets Urban Innovation and Infrastructure Summit, where he graciously handed the microphone to a visually impaired student and listened intently to her words.

The summit kicked off with a special welcome from Divyang children of Urmi School. Among them was Gauri Shardul, a Class 10 student, who gifted the Chief Minister a framed pencil sketch she drew herself. Despite her visual impairment, Gauri’s artwork left everyone amazed.

Impressed by the portrait, CM Patel asked about her story. That’s when Gauri boldly said, “Sir, I would like to say a few words!” Without missing a beat, the Chief Minister arranged for a microphone on stage, giving her the spotlight to share her thoughts.

Confidently stepping up, Gauri spoke about the Accessible India Campaign’s big impact. She highlighted how the government is making buildings, bus stands, and railway stations more Divyang-friendly. She also praised facilities like Braille in education and other support that make life easier for visually impaired people and the Divyang community.

This heartwarming interaction showcased CM Patel’s simplicity and love for kids, bringing smiles to everyone at the event. Urmi School’s Sargam Gupta and Radhika Nair were also there to witness the special moment.
