At a lively rally in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, a young girl named Jasmika Bansal stole the show by gifting Prime Minister Narendra Modi a heartfelt photo collage on Saturday. The collage captured special moments from Modi’s life with his late mother, Heeraben Modi, from his childhood days right up to recent years.
Jasmika, beaming with excitement, told , “I feel really great. I’ve drawn so much inspiration from his close bond with his mother.” Her mom, Richa Manish Bansal, chimed in, “This was a unique birthday gift for PM Modi’s 75th. It shows the deep connection he shares with his mother. We’re thrilled he accepted it—it’s a moment we’ll cherish forever.”
The touching gesture caught everyone’s eye at the event, earning warm applause from the crowd. It highlighted the personal side of Modi amid all the big announcements.
Earlier that day, Modi kicked off the ‘Samudra se Samriddhi’ program, launching and laying foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 34,200 crore. He emphasized building an Atmanirbhar Bharat, or self-reliant India, across various sectors.
A big highlight was the maritime push, with Modi inaugurating projects valued at more than Rs 7,870 crore. These upgrades target key infrastructure at major Indian ports, boosting trade and growth.
Speaking to a huge crowd at Jawahar Maidan, Modi said, “This Bhavnagar event serves the whole nation. We’ve picked this spot to steer India from the ocean—’Samudra’—toward real progress, or ‘Samriddhi.’ A big shoutout to the people of Gujarat and Bhavnagar for making it happen.”
He also opened up about his birthday, thanking supporters: “The love and blessings pouring in from every corner of India and the world? That’s my biggest treasure and source of strength.”
Kids at the rally added to the warmth by presenting paintings and sketches to Modi. He graciously thanked them for their affection and directed officials to gather all the artwork.
Modi gave a special nod to the ongoing ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ initiative, running from Vishwakarma Jayanti on September 17 to Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. “Millions across the country are joining in,” he noted. “In Gujarat alone, a 15-day drive is underway, with tons of activities in the last few days.”
He shared impressive stats: Blood donation camps have drawn over 1 lakh donors in Gujarat so far. Nationwide cleanliness drives have seen lakhs participate, and health camps—especially focused on women—are popping up everywhere. “I thank everyone stepping up for these acts of service,” Modi added.
