The Ahmedabad Crime Branch has issued a lookout circular on Kamlesh Gondaliya, the owner of the Takshashila Construction Group, and his family members after a fraud complaint started a fresh investigation.

The notice names Kamlesh and his son Parthil, as well as two other relatives, Deepti and Avni. It warns authorities not to let them escape, as the case involves alleged cheating that cost the complainant several crores of rupees.

Rakesh Lahoti filed the complaint on 17 October, accusing the Gondaliyas of siphoning off large sums from his project. After the complaint, Kamlesh ran from the police, and the Crime Branch feared he could flee the country.

When Kamlesh’s case first appeared in court in April, he sought anticipatory bail. The Sessions Court denied the request but ordered the police to serve the accused with a seven‑day notice before the next arrest. That notice expired on Sunday, yet Kamlesh and Parthil have not been located or returned to court.

In contrast, Deepti and Avni have already entered bail applications, which the judge will hear on 28 October. Meanwhile, Lahoti has provided new proof, including a forged signature from Jyoti Lahoti—Rakesh’s wife—on a cancelled sale agreement. He also received a supposedly guaranteed letter from Kamlesh claiming his flats were still in his name.

The crime‑branch investigators are now checking records at the Sub‑Registrar’s Office to see if there was any collusion that broke stamp‑duty laws.

The FIR could spark more claims. Several buyers of the Takshashila Aligna project, who say they never received their registered sale deeds, plan to join the lawsuit. They held a meeting a few days ago and expect the case to grow.

The case highlights ongoing fraud concerns in Delhi‑to‑Gujarat construction deals and keeps authorities on alert for any attempts to bypass the legal process.
