Ahmedabad, Oct 26 – A top‑level meeting was held at the VVIP Circuit House in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, to double‑check plans for the grand Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 150th birth anniversary and the National Unity Day on Oct 30‑31.

Director General of Police (DGP) Vikas Sahay chaired the session. He walked in under a Guard of Honour from police units before being welcomed by senior officers from the police, the Statue of Unity Range and the local district administration.

The DGP drove home a few key messages: keep security tight, keep the VVIP lounges spotless, and make sure the Ekta Parade runs smoothly.

District Superintendent of Police Vishakha Dubey presented a detailed two‑day deployment plan. The slide deck mapped out a security grid, traffic‑control points, and transportation routes for all dignitaries and visitors. It also listed vehicle corridors, parking spots, and bus‑and‑car services that will ferry guests to the parade venue.

Other departments—Roads & Buildings, Power, Fire Services, Health, Water Supply, Accommodation, Tourism—joined the discussion to cover everything from guest lodging and meals to the travel of VVIPs, LBSNAA trainees and the crowds expected to turn up. The Tourism, Youth Services and Cultural Activities teams updated the group on upcoming cultural shows and the facilities needed for performers.

After reviewing the plans, the DGP praised the district administration and committee teams, noting only a few small tweaks needed after his earlier inspection of the parade ground.

The meeting counted on a strong lineup of officials: Vadodara Range IG Sandeep Singh, BSF Officer Bhupendra Singh, District Collector S.K. Modi, Statue of Unity CEO Amit Arora, District Development Officer R.V. Vala, Project Administrator Anchu Wilson, Deputy Conservator of Forests Agnishwar Vyas, Additional Collector Gopal Bamniya and several committee members.

The celebrations in Ekta Nagar are set to attract thousands of visitors from across India and abroad. The prime focus remains on flawless coordination, tight security, and a memorable tribute to India’s founding father.
