In Panchkula, Haryana, officials say that on Friday the state’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, will take the stage at the Indradhanush Auditorium to celebrate one year in office. The ceremony will showcase the government’s biggest projects, flagship schemes, and plans for the next few years.
During a high‑level review earlier this week, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi asked all district officials to organize local shows that will culminate in a live broadcast of the Chief Minister’s speech. He also urged every department to coordinate security, public outreach, and logistics so the event runs smoothly and reaches as many people as possible.
One of the highlights of Chief Minister Saini’s address will be the distribution of development grants to village councils and urban bodies. He will also hand over plot‑allocation letters to citizens under the Mukhya Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0 (Phase II). This scheme, which gives people home plots for low‑cost housing, has been a key pillar of Haryana’s rural development push.
In other government news, the Chief Secretary has issued a reminder on salary payments for newly recruited Group‑D staff in the Common Cadre. Those employees who joined after August 28 are due to receive their back‑pay from the date of joining. The message also asked departments to update the Human Resource Management System portal, which the e‑billing system uses to generate accurate payroll invoices.
The state government also clarified its rules for the National Pension Scheme (NPS). It now says that any salary payment beyond two months must be backed by a PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number). Once the PRAN is issued, the employee can continue to receive their NPS benefits without interruption.
These updates illustrate Haryana’s focus on keeping officials’ wages straight, boosting local governance, and delivering promised public housing and pension benefits to residents.
