Haryana govt gives Rs 5 crore assistance each to flood-hit Punjab, J&K

Haryana Shows Solidarity with Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir Amid Heavy Floods

In a show of support during difficult times, the Haryana government has announced a financial aid of Rs 5 crore each for Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, as both states battle severe floods caused by heavy rains. The aid comes from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help those affected and to assist rescue and recovery efforts.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed his support in a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Saini stated that Haryana and its people stand with their neighbors in this challenging moment. “In this difficult hour of natural calamity, the Haryana government and the people of the state are with you,” he said.

He also highlighted that many families are facing tough times due to the floods and assured that Haryana is ready to help. The chief minister emphasized that collaboration and quick assistance are crucial right now. He urged the leaders of Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir to communicate any additional needs for relief supplies or aid, promising that Haryana will respond immediately.

Saini further reassured that Haryana is fully prepared to support in any way needed. “Our highest priority is to bring hope and relief to those affected. No family should feel left alone during this crisis,” he said.

Last week, Haryana’s chief minister had already reached out to Punjab’s leader, offering full cooperation and support, based on the principles of brotherhood and humanity.

This gesture highlights how neighboring states come together in times of crisis, putting lives and safety above everything else.
