Hyderabad Police Deport Pakistani National Involved in Multiple Crimes
Hyderabad police teamed up with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs to deport a 48-year-old Pakistani national on Tuesday. Muhammad Usman, also known as Md Abbas Ikram, crossed back into Pakistan through the Attari Border in Punjab on September 9.
This man from Piplan, Pakistan, sneaked into India illegally via Nepal back in 2011. He racked up four criminal cases in Hyderabad, landing him sentences from one month to five years in prison. After finishing his jail time and legal processes, authorities held him at the Detention Centre in Central Crime Station (CCS), Hyderabad, starting September 7, 2024. Once everything checked out, they handed him over to the Pakistan Rangers for deportation.
Usman’s troubles started when Cyber Crime police nabbed him on June 1, 2018, in the Chaderghat area. He had been blackmailing his wife from Hyderabad by threatening to post videos of her minor daughter on social media. A court convicted him, and he served his time before getting released in 2023. But he soon faced another charge in a domestic violence case, which sent him back to CCS custody.
The CCS Detention Centre, set up on August 29, 2018, has been key in handling such cases. It currently holds 158 people from 19 countries, with 150 already deported. Just last month, police sent 20 Bangladeshi nationals back home through the India-Bangladesh border. These folks, including nine women, got arrested in raids across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda police areas for illegal stay and human trafficking. They carried Bangladeshi documents, and police kept them at the CCS centre while sorting out their cases.
To make it happen, Hyderabad police shared details with the Bangladesh embassy through the Ministry of External Affairs. They also looped in the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) and Ministry of Home Affairs. Finally, Border Security Force (BSF) officers escorted the group to the border entry point for a smooth handover.
These deportations show how Indian authorities are cracking down on illegal immigrants and cross-border crimes, ensuring quick action through coordinated efforts.
