Celebrating PM Modi’s 75th Birthday: India Rises to World’s 4th Largest Economy
As India gears up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday today, Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra shared some exciting updates on the nation’s progress. Speaking to in New Delhi, Mishra highlighted how India has climbed to become the world’s fourth-largest economy under PM Modi’s strong leadership. He added that the country is on track to soon claim the top spot as the world’s largest economy.
"On this special occasion of PM Modi’s birthday, the entire nation is observing Sewa Pakhwada with great enthusiasm," Mishra said. "Today, India stands as the fourth-largest economy globally, and we will achieve the number one position under PM Modi’s guidance."
Mishra also gave a big thumbs up to the recent GST reforms, calling them a game-changer for the country. "The nation has benefited immensely from these GST reforms," he noted. Just earlier this month, the 56th GST Council meeting made headlines by simplifying tax slabs. They merged the 12% and 28% rates into just two easy ones: 5% and 18%. This move aims to make life simpler for businesses and boost India’s economic growth.
Birthday celebrations are in full swing across India, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading the way. They’ve kicked off a 15-day nationwide campaign called Seva Pakhwada to honor PM Modi. Expect blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and special exhibitions showcasing the central government’s key achievements. These events will run until the end of the month, spreading the spirit of service and unity.
