In Rajouri, the Indian Army’s Ace of Spades Division—part of Operation Sadbhavana 2025—has taken a bold step to bring change to the border belt. The division is hosting a National Integration Tour for students from remote villages that line the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri and Poonch districts.

The tour’s goal is simple: open the eyes of these young people to the vast cultural, educational, and developmental opportunities across the country. By visiting places like the Southern Command of the Indian Army, the National Defence Academy (NDA), and the National Defence Law College, the students will see firsthand the breadth of institutions and careers that exist beyond their villages.

These students grew up in areas that have felt the impact of cross‑border shelling, yet they carry a spirit of courage and hope. Their participation shows the Army’s dedication to building unity and peace in border communities.

Major General Kaushik Mukherji, the commander of the Ace of Spades Division, addressed the students with words of encouragement. “Take this chance to learn as much as you can. Let it spark a desire to serve our nation proudly and become ambassadors of unity in your region.” He urged them to carry the values of peace and national pride back home.

The students responded with heartfelt thanks. “We are grateful to the Army for giving us this opportunity to experience the strength and diversity of our country,” one said. Another added, “We feel proud of the Indian Army, which always stands with us and guides us toward a brighter future.”

The tour is a practical example of how the Indian Army is working to empower youth in border regions. By providing exposure and inspiration, the initiative promotes education, national integration, and lasting partnerships along the LoC.
