BJP Leader Slams Bihar Congress Over AI Video Insulting PM Modi’s Mother
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: BJP leader V. Muraleedharan has strongly condemned an AI-generated video shared by the Bihar Congress, calling it a deep insult to women across India. He accused the party of trying to tarnish Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image, but said the move has completely backfired.
Talking to on Friday, Muraleedharan pointed out that the public isn’t buying these tactics. "The Prime Minister always keeps politics away from his family, but Congress treats politics like family business," he said. "This video disrespects the womanhood of our entire country. Congress wants to malign PM Modi’s reputation, but look at the vice presidential election results—they show people reject these cheap attacks. Bihar folks will not take this lightly. I urge Congress to apologize right away."
The controversial video, which went viral, shows PM Modi dreaming of his late mother, Heeraben Modi, scolding him harshly over his political choices. Heeraben passed away last year at 100, and she stayed far from politics.
This isn’t the first time Congress faces backlash in Bihar. Earlier, during a Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga, an unidentified person jumped on stage and hurled abuses at PM Modi and his mother. The BJP hit back hard at opposition parties like Congress and RJD, targeting leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for the incident.
PM Modi himself spoke out strongly at a recent event. "A mother is our world and our pride. I never imagined this in Bihar’s rich culture. RJD and Congress abused my mother—it’s not just about her, but an attack on every mother, sister, and daughter in India," he said emotionally.
Modi shared how he left his mother to serve the nation and other women. He emphasized that his apolitical mother endured these insults from RJD and Congress in Bihar, calling it unacceptable.
The row highlights the heated political rivalry in Bihar ahead of elections, with BJP defending Modi’s personal dignity while slamming opposition’s low blows. As the debate rages, many wonder if Congress will respond to the apology demands.
