Boosting Skills and Development in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri District
In the scenic Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Adi Karmayogi program is gaining momentum with exciting block-level training sessions rolling out across all blocks. This initiative focuses on empowering local officials to deliver better services, especially in tribal areas, through hands-on workshops and skill-building activities.
The program follows a smart, step-by-step training model. District Master Trainers first guide district officers and Block Level Master Trainers. Then, these block trainers pass on the knowledge to Village Level Master Trainers. Right now, teams are conducting orientation programs in various blocks of Rajouri, emphasizing effective governance and capacity building for real-world impact.
Departments like Education, Medical, Forest, Jal Shakti, and Rural Development are jumping in with full enthusiasm. This collaborative effort targets 104 tribal villages in Rajouri, aiming for seamless last-mile service delivery and all-around development. The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan seeks to create self-reliant, strong, and inclusive communities by involving locals such as Adi Karmayogis, Adi Sahyoogis, and Adi Saathis.
As part of this drive, the Dharti Aabha Plan supports sustainable growth in tribal blocks. Block Development Officers oversee these workshops, bringing together officials from multiple sectors to push forward better governance and development in Rajouri’s tribal regions.
A highlight is the recent launch of a Block-level Process Lab in Plangarh, Thanna Mandi, and Dharhal blocks under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan. Block-level Master Trainers led the event, training 32 Village-level Master Trainers from various departments in Plangarh block.
Over two engaging days, participants dove into interactive sessions. They discussed smart implementation strategies, spotted gaps in field-level services, and brainstormed practical solutions to fix them. Five seasoned Master Trainers ran the show, sharing best practices to better support tribal communities.
The big aim? To offer complete support to tribal groups by tackling service delivery challenges head-on and solving them step by step.
These trainings will keep going for the next 15 days, leading up to a major Gramsabha on October 2. There, community leaders and representatives will team up to craft the final action plan.
Overall, this push aligns with Jammu and Kashmir’s development goals and India’s vision for a stronger Bharat by 2030, fostering progress one trained team at a time.
