JP Nadda, the BJP’s national chief and Union minister, is heading to Bihar on Thursday, Oct 23, for a one‑day tour to boost the party’s push for the state’s Assembly elections.
He will land at Patna airport around 11 a.m. and then head to Aurangabad district. At noon, Nadda will speak at the High School Ground in Haspura, the Goh Assembly constituency, rallying behind BJP contender Ravichandra Singh. Later that afternoon, he will travel to the Patepur Assembly area in Vaishali district, where he will address a large rally at 2 p.m. in support of candidate Lakhendra Kumar Roshan.
The visits come just a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, key figures of the NDA, are scheduled to arrive in Bihar on Oct 24. Their combined tour is part of a high‑profile campaign aimed at winning the upcoming election.
BJP’s intensifying efforts boast rallies and roadshows across constituencies. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been campaigning as well, speaking at public meetings in Muzaffarpur and Gopalganj. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary held a big rally in Banka’s Belhar constituency, while LJP(RV) leader and Union minister Chirag Paswan met supporters in Khagaria’s Parbatta area.
Nadda’s presence, followed by visits from Modi and Shah, is expected to add momentum to the BJP’s campaign and strengthen the NDA’s push across Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections.
