BJP chief and Union Health Minister JP Nadda is heading to Bihar this Saturday for a packed day of events. With assembly elections looming in the state, his visit kicks off preparations ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip on September 15.
Nadda will start by chairing a key Core Committee meeting in Bihar, focusing on election strategies for the BJP. He’ll also drop by the Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital in Chhapra to check on its operations and ongoing work. Later, at 11:35 am, he’ll take the stage at the Prabhat Khabar Media Conclave-2025 in Patna to share his thoughts on media and politics.
The excitement builds as PM Modi arrives in Bihar just two days later. At around 2:45 pm, he’ll inaugurate the shiny new Interim Terminal Building at Purnea Airport’s New Civil Enclave. That’s not all—Modi will kick off multiple development projects worth a whopping Rs 36,000 crore in Purnea and rally the crowds with a public address.
One big highlight? Modi will launch the National Makhana Board right there in Bihar. This move aims to boost Makhana production, bring in cutting-edge tech, improve storage and processing, and open up markets and exports. It promises a real lift for Makhana farmers across Bihar and India, turning their hard work into bigger profits.
On the infrastructure front, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Rs 2,170 crore Bikramshila-Katareah rail line. This project will create a direct rail crossing over the Ganga River, making travel smoother for locals.
He’ll also inaugurate the Rs 4,410 crore Arariya-Galgalia (Thakurganj) rail line, flag off a new train service linking Araria and Kishanganj districts, and launch the Vande Bharat Express from Jogbani to Danapur. These rail upgrades will connect remote areas better and speed up Bihar’s growth.
All this comes as Bihar gears up for its Legislative Assembly elections later this year. The Election Commission of India hasn’t dropped the official dates yet, but the political buzz is already heating up in the state.
