In New Delhi on Monday, KC Venugopal, the AICC General Secretary for Organization, met with party observers sent to Odisha for the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan. They dove into detailed reports from the observers’ recent trips across various districts in the state.
Venugopal shared insights on X about the talks. He noted that these discussions drew from thorough reports after field visits alongside PCC observers. The team also chatted with local party workers and community groups in each district. “These reports offer deep looks at the socio-political scene and current trends, helping us pick the right DCC Presidents,” Venugopal posted.
Just last week, during a visit to Odisha, Venugopal connected with the state’s Political Affairs Committee, OPCC leaders, AICC observers, top party figures, lawmakers, and grassroots workers. He joined two key meetings in Bhubaneswar to boost the Congress party’s efforts there.
In those sessions, Venugopal pushed hard for building a stronger organization at the district and local levels. He urged PCC observers to take the lead in this push. The Congress, he said, fully backs Odisha’s people in their fight for justice, dignity, and true democracy.
Venugopal earlier announced that the party aims to finalize presidents for all 35 organizational districts in Odisha under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan by September 30.
This campaign focuses on choosing district heads for the Congress’s 30 district units in Odisha. The goal? Leaders who show clear ideology, rock-solid loyalty to the party, and the grit to stand up to attacks from the ruling BJP and its critics.
