Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri shared a heartfelt moment on X after bowing at the feet of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji during the ongoing Guru Charan Yatra.
He wrote, “My life feels blessed by bowing at the Guru’s feet,” and posted photos from the Faridabad‑Agra and Agra‑Bareilly legs of the pilgrimage. The minister thanked the sacred pair and wished that Guru Maharaj’s grace stay with all devotees.
The Guru Charan Yatra is a spiritual journey that carries the Jore Sahib – the sacred footwear of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur – from Delhi to Takht Sri Patna Sahib. The relic has been kept in the family of Union Minister Puri for more than three centuries before the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee took custody.
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, his wife, and daughter joined the ceremony at Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib in New Delhi on Friday, paying respects to the Jore Sahib as the Yatra rolled out.
The trip will cover major cities—Faridabad, Agra, Bareilly, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Sasaram—before ending at Patna on November 1.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted his wishes for the Yatra. He urged residents along the route to join the pilgrimage and experience the darshan of the holy Jore Sahib.
“Let us invoke the timeless teachings and spiritual legacy of Sri Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur,” Modi said, stressing the importance of the spiritual journey for all citizens.
The Guru Charan Yatra is more than a procession; it reminds devotees of humility, courage, and service exemplified by the Tenth Guru and his wife. By walking the path laid out by Guru Gobind Singh, followers hope to grow in faith and compassion.
As the Yatra makes each stop, media outlets and social media users alike spread the story of this historic voyage, ensuring that the legacy of Guru Gobind Singh and Mata Sahib Kaur reaches even the broadest audiences.
