Raju Tiwari, president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) in Bihar, criticized a fresh promise from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. On Friday, Tiwari questioned how Yadav’s party has created jobs in the 15 years it has ruled Bihar and challenged the feasibility of giving a government job to every household. “We need real jobs, not just promises,” Tiwari told . He said the plan was a political ploy and that voters would reject such empty promises in the 2025 elections.
Yadav’s announcement came after the newly formed Mahagathbandhan government pledged to pass a law guaranteeing a state job for every family in Bihar within 20 days of the government’s start. The idea has drawn sharp criticism.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh called the promise a “laughable poll promise.” Singh also referenced the ongoing Land‑for‑jobs case involving former Bihar deputy chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying that Lalu’s family had been accused of registering land in his name for political favors. He urged people to see the difference between rhetoric and real action.
BJP leader Sanjay Mayuk echoed the criticism, arguing that elections cannot be won on false promises. He warned that voters are watching closely and will oppose leaders who rely on unfulfilled pledges. Mayuk highlighted that many from the Yadav family have held power but have not delivered on jobs or development.
The debate highlights growing frustration over unemployment and unmet promises in Bihar. With the next election approaching, leaders are under pressure to translate lofty pledges into concrete action.
