Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Chaudhary said on Saturday that the party’s central parliamentary board met in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by party chief Chirag Paswan, and Chaudhary confirmed that the final seat‑sharing decision will come from the national president.
“We took a very positive and good discussion with all MPs and senior office‑bearers present,” Chaudhary told . “Whatever the final decision about the alliance or seat allocation is, it will be made by Chirag Paswan.”
She added that talks are still going on. “We are still negotiating the seat sharing,” she repeated.
The news comes amid talks about the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, where the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the BJP is still negotiating with its partners. Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha also said on the same day that reports of a consensus on seat sharing were wrong. “Discussions are still ongoing within the NDA,” Kushwaha told . “I have been called to Delhi by the BJP leadership, and talks will resume there.”
Chirag Paswan, the Lok Janshakti Party chief, remained quiet about any seat‑sharing announcement. “I have nothing to say now. All seat‑sharing‑related announcements will be made later,” he said while traveling to the party office in Delhi.
The Bihar polls will take place in two phases: the first on 6 November, the second on 11 November, with vote counting on 14 November. The main contest is expected to pit the NDA, led by the BJP, against the INDIA bloc that includes Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, and several Communist parties.
The Lok Janshakti Party’s final stance on seat sharing will be announced shortly, and voters in Bihar will be watching closely as the two‑armed political battle shapes up.
