Mahagathbandhan no longer exists: Giriraj Singh as Tejashwi Yadav begins yatra sans Rahul Gandhi

Bihar Politics Heats Up: Giriraj Singh Slams Tejashwi Yadav’s Solo Yatra Amid Alliance Cracks
In a fresh twist to Bihar’s buzzing political scene, Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh has taken a sharp dig at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as he gears up for his ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’ starting from Jehanabad on Tuesday. Singh claims the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan alliance has crumbled, highlighting how Congress bigwigs, including Rahul Gandhi, are nowhere to be seen in this march.
Talking to , Singh didn’t hold back. "Tejashwi should just hide in a corner and cry," he said. He pointed out that Tejashwi positioned himself as the chief ministerial candidate, but Rahul Gandhi stayed silent on the matter. "Rahul probably doesn’t want Tejashwi as CM. They both see each other as corrupt—there’s no real alliance left," Singh added.
This comes after past joint efforts, like the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar, where Tejashwi and Rahul Gandhi walked side by side with other opposition leaders. But now, Tejashwi hits the road alone, focusing on districts Rahul skipped during his 1,500-km tour that covered 25 out of Bihar’s 38 districts.
Singh’s comments have sparked fresh buzz about a growing rift between RJD and Congress. Rahul’s refusal to back Tejashwi as the Mahagathbandhan’s CM face has only added fuel to the fire.
RJD, however, pushes back on the drama. The party insists the Bihar Adhikar Yatra isn’t about Tejashwi’s personal ambitions—it’s all about pressing issues like unemployment and the state’s law and order problems.
Tejashwi kicks off the yatra from Jehanabad and will target NDA strongholds in the first phase. That includes Nalanda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s home turf, and Begusarai, where Giriraj Singh holds sway as MP. The route also passes through Patna, Khagaria, Madhepura, Supaul, Saharsa, and Samastipur, wrapping up in Vaishali on September 20.
Vaishali holds special meaning for Tejashwi—it’s home to his Raghopur constituency. The yatra will also swing by Mahua in Vaishali, where his brother Tej Pratap Yadav once served as MLA. Tej Pratap, now out of RJD, has declared he’ll contest from Mahua again.
As Bihar’s political battles ramp up ahead of elections, this solo yatra could shake things up in the opposition camp. Stay tuned for more updates on Tejashwi Yadav’s Bihar Adhikar Yatra and the latest on Mahagathbandhan alliance news.
