Manipur police say security forces arrested a key member of the KCP (PWG) gang in Bishnupur.
The arrest happened inside Bishnupur police station limits on 11‑10‑2025. The suspect, 42‑year‑old Moirangthem Mohen Singh of Sagolband in Imphal West, was taken from Ward No. 6 in the town. Police seized a short‑sleeved camo T‑shirt, a mobile phone, two SIM cards, an SM carbine, a magazine, and two AK magazines, plus 24 rounds of AK ammo and a single AK‑style cartridge.
In the same month, security officials also raided Thoubal and Imphal East districts. They nabbed two drug peddlers: Md Khursid Alam (21) from Thoubal and Md Akbar (37) from Imphal East. The raid uncovered about 3 kg of heroin, eight bottles of the psychotropic syrup Tussrex‑TR, and cash worth ₹9.57 million. Police recovered a small gun (SBBL), two bullet cartridges, a four‑wheel vehicle, and four mobile phones.
Earlier, on 02‑10‑2025, the 36th Assam Rifles staged a significant operation in Songkot village, Henglep Sub‑Division of Churachandpur district. The raid seized a large cache of weapons and ammunition and captured five United Kuki National Army (UKNA) members, delivering a major blow to insurgent activity in the region.
