In Delhi on Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence. The meeting was a courtesy visit, during which the CM shared his plans to boost the state’s development and received guidance from the Home Minister.
The following day, Yadav kicked off a two‑day conference for district collectors in Bhopal, addressing key issues for the state’s future. He highlighted that agriculture is the backbone of Madhya Pradesh’s economy and stressed a shift toward natural and organic farming. The government wants to expand horticulture and create new entrepreneurship opportunities in farming.
Mohan Yadav told collectors to help farmers adopt natural methods and promised support. He also asked them to promote local markets that sell organic produce, run awareness drives for cash crops, and get at least 100 farmers on board with natural farming. Collectors were instructed to keep records and study the benefits of these practices.
The CM also urged tighter monitoring of soybean auction prices and pushed for widespread promotion of the Bhavantar Yojana—an incentive program meant to help farmers. He said district officials should work hard to ensure the plan’s benefits reach as many farmers as possible.
Stubble burning, a major environmental issue, got a firm response. Yadav ordered strict enforcement to curb the practice.
On health and nutrition, the Chief Minister announced new facilities and urged collectors to improve service quality. He stressed that Ayushman card holders should easily access better health services and that hospitals be regularly audited for deficiencies.
The meeting and the conference underscore Madhya Pradesh’s focus on sustainable agriculture, market reforms, and improved health services for its citizens. ()
