Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Suspends Morena SDM Over Misconduct Allegations
In a swift move, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has suspended the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sabalgarh in Morena district. The action targets Arvind Mahour after serious complaints surfaced about his misconduct with a woman and illegal transfers of patwaris, the local revenue officers.
CM Yadav shared the details in a post on X (formerly Twitter). "After complaints of misconduct with a woman and rule violations in patwari transfers against Sabalgarh SDM Arvind Mahour came to light, I’ve ordered his immediate suspension. I’ve also directed the Chambal Commissioner to start disciplinary proceedings," he wrote. He made it clear: no one gets a free pass on poor conduct in public service.
The suspension follows a viral video on social media showing the SDM misbehaving with the woman’s family. The family had already raised the issue with the Morena district collector during a public grievance session (Jan Sunwai) on Tuesday. This quick response highlights the Madhya Pradesh government’s zero-tolerance stance on such issues.
CM Yadav Boosts Development in Katni District
Shifting gears, CM Mohan Yadav was busy with progress elsewhere. On Thursday, he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 233 crore in Katni district. He called Katni a key player in boosting Madhya Pradesh’s and India’s economy.
A highlight? The launch of two Sandipani schools in Katni. Yadav wished the students a bright future and praised the schools’ top-notch infrastructure. "Even private school owners are amazed by the facilities here. No other state in India has schools like these under our Sandipani initiative," he said.
Speaking at the event, Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving all-round development in Madhya Pradesh. He mentioned a special gift for the state on Modi’s 75th birthday: the foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park in the tribal area of Dhar district. This mega textile project will help around 6 lakh cotton farmers and create over 3 lakh direct and indirect jobs.
Yadav also honored PM Modi’s lifelong service to the people. To celebrate his birthday, a nationwide Seva Pakhwada runs until October 2. The CM urged women to join free health camps for tests, medicines, and treatments—no cost involved. It’s all about giving back to the community.
This mix of strict action on misconduct and focus on education and jobs shows Madhya Pradesh’s push for better governance and growth under CM Mohan Yadav.
