In Katni, Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav kicked off several exciting development projects worth Rs 233 crore on Thursday. He praised the district as a powerhouse that’s boosting both the state and national economy.
The CM inaugurated two impressive Sandipani schools in Katni, sharing warm wishes for the students’ bright futures. He highlighted how these schools boast top-notch infrastructure and facilities that even leave private school owners amazed. “No other state in India has schools like these,” Yadav said, crediting the Madhya Pradesh government’s Sandipani school initiative for setting a new standard in education.
Speaking at the event, Yadav credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for driving all-round growth across Madhya Pradesh. On his 75th birthday, PM Modi laid the foundation for the PM MITRA Park in the tribal area of Dhar—a massive gift to the state. This textile park will help around 6 lakh cotton farmers and create over 3 lakh jobs, both direct and indirect.
Yadav also lauded PM Modi’s lifelong dedication to public service. To celebrate his birthday, a nationwide Seva Pakhwada runs until October 2. He urged women to join free health camps offering costly tests, medicines, and treatments at no expense, encouraging them to prioritize their well-being.
Pushing for industrial growth, the CM revealed that a recent Mining Conclave brought in Rs 56,000 crore in investments to Katni. This opens doors for business and trade, promising better lives for the poor, youth, and farmers. Katni sits on rich reserves of coal, limestone, and key minerals—and exciting news: gold deposits might soon join the mix. “Katni will turn into Kanakpuri and play a huge role in our economy,” Yadav declared. He added that nearby Panna already shines with diamond production, setting the stage for a fresh wave of development in the region.
In a big win for healthcare, the state approved four new medical colleges under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, including one right in Katni. Residents can look forward to this vital facility soon.
Yadav didn’t stop there—he greenlit key local demands, like repairing and deepening the Datla and Sagona reservoir canals, raising the Garra Ghat Bridge over the Belkund River, and starting a lift irrigation project on the Kharhata Mahanadi River. He motivated Katni’s people to leverage their skills and drive the state’s progress.
Finally, the CM called on everyone to back small shopkeepers and local businesses. For a self-reliant India, he stressed buying indigenous products during festivals like Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali. “This way, our money stays in the country and strengthens us all,” he said.
