Madhya Pradesh Governor Reviews PM-JANMAN Scheme Progress in Bhopal
In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel took a close look at the PM-JANMAN scheme’s progress during a key meeting with officials at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. This welfare program focuses on uplifting tribal communities and the most deprived sections of society through better housing and support.
Governor Patel stressed the need for strong teamwork between administrative teams and field workers. He urged everyone to bring fresh ideas and ensure high-quality materials make the constructions durable and reliable. "We can’t cut corners on the strength of these houses," he said, highlighting how PM-JANMAN is a game-changer for tribal welfare in India.
To make things more affordable, the Governor suggested exploring ways to lower costs for quality materials. He also pushed for better price coordination and the use of local, eco-friendly options in building homes under the PM-JANMAN housing scheme. This approach not only saves money but also supports sustainable development for tribal areas.
Calling for community involvement, Governor Patel appealed to the prosperous sections of society to step up and help improve these houses. He emphasized that the scheme aims to benefit the tribal community in a big way, starting with the poorest families first. "Prioritize the neediest, and make sure the homes are sturdy and user-friendly," he added.
To keep quality in check, the Governor instructed regular site inspections for all construction work. He also directed officials to guide beneficiaries on key steps like choosing the right site, deciding on house size, and sourcing the best materials.
During the meeting, officials updated him on positive steps already taken. They’re sourcing local materials for housing projects, and self-help groups are getting involved in making bricks. Plus, efforts are underway for environment-friendly construction methods, which align perfectly with the scheme’s goals.
Governor Patel wrapped up by saying PM-JANMAN builds a more harmonious society, and everyone should join hands with the government to make it a success. This initiative is all about empowering tribal communities and ensuring no one gets left behind in Madhya Pradesh’s development story.
