Tragic Road Accident in Indore: Death Toll Rises to Three, 12 Injured After Truck Collision

A devastating road accident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has claimed three lives and left 12 people injured, police confirmed on Tuesday. The incident unfolded on Kalani Nagar Road under Aerodrum Police Station limits, turning a busy evening into chaos.

Around 7:30 pm on Monday, a speeding truck lost control and slammed into multiple vehicles over a 500-meter stretch. One of the victims, a biker, suffered the worst when the truck dragged the bike, causing the petrol tank to catch fire. The flames added to the horror, leading to the deaths of three individuals identified as Kailashchand, Lakhvichand, and Mahesh.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crime Branch, Rajesh Dandotiya shared details with . "Our teams acted fast to rescue everyone and rush the injured to hospitals," he said. Police have arrested the truck driver and filed an FIR under Sections 105 and 110 of the BNS, along with Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act for drunk driving. They even conducted a medical check on the driver to confirm if alcohol played a role.

The focus right now stays on saving lives. "We prioritized getting the injured the best treatment possible," DCP Dandotiya added. Authorities are closely monitoring the condition of the 12 hurt in the Indore road accident.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav jumped into action soon after hearing about the crash. He ordered immediate relief and proper medical care for all victims. To dig deeper, the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) will visit Indore for a firsthand report. CM Yadav also kicked off a quick inquiry into why heavy vehicles like trucks entered the city before the usual 11 pm cutoff.

The CM assured everyone he’s staying in touch with the Indore administration. "No stone will be left unturned in treating the injured, and the state government stands fully behind the affected families," he said. This Indore truck accident highlights the dangers of reckless driving on city roads, and officials promise stricter enforcement to prevent such tragedies.
