In Bhopal on Wednesday, a group from the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) met Governor Mangubhai Patel at Raj Bhavan. The delegation was led by MPPSC chairman Rajeshlal Mehra.
During the meeting, Mehra handed the Governor the 68th annual report of the MPPSC. He also briefed him on what the commission has done this year in 2024‑25.
The MPPSC ran 71 recruitment adverts for 5,581 posts in different state departments. It held state‑service and state‑forest‑service exams in 2023, 2024, and 2025, covering both preliminary and main stages. The commission also ran a two‑tier exam and a State Eligibility Test (SET).
A total of 6,260 candidates were called in for interviews this year. The commission forwarded recommendations for 1,479 selected candidates to the state government.
Mehra highlighted new efforts that boost quality and transparency. An e‑newsletter called “Samvadiya” was launched to keep candidates informed about the commission’s activities. A “Subject Expert Portal” was created to recruit experts for confidential exam work.
Answer‑sheet marking for state‑service main exams now happens on‑screen after scanning. This change speeds up grading and reduces errors.
