BJP’s Youth Wing Launches Nationwide ‘Namo Yuva Run’ to Mark PM Modi’s 75th Birthday

In a big push for fitness and social change, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has kicked off a massive nationwide event called the ‘Namo Yuva Run’. This exciting initiative celebrates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday on September 17 and aims to rally young Indians against drug abuse.

The event is set to happen on September 21 across 75 key locations in India. Organizers expect over one million young participants to join in and run together at the same time. It’s all under the powerful theme "Nasha Mukt Bharat," which means Drug-Free India.

BJYM President and MP Tejasvi Surya shared these details during a lively press conference at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. "Over the past 10 years, PM Modi’s leadership and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s efforts have led a strong fight against drugs in India," Surya said. He added that the run goes beyond just staying fit—it’s about empowering the youth to beat addiction, which harms people and even poses risks to national security.

Surya pointed out that each spot will have 10,000 to 15,000 runners, turning this into India’s largest-ever participative run. To make it even more inspiring, popular actor and fitness star Milind Soman has stepped up as the brand ambassador. He’ll join the campaign to motivate everyone.

"I’ve looked up to Milind Soman since my school days—he’s still the fittest Indian out there and a true role model for young people," Surya said with enthusiasm. "But the ultimate inspiration for India’s youth is Prime Minister Modi himself."

Surya didn’t hold back on connecting the dots between drugs and bigger threats like narco-terrorism, cross-border smuggling, and funding for Naxal activities. He highlighted India’s impressive progress: From 2014 to 2024, authorities seized over 24 lakh kg of narcotics— that’s a huge jump from just 3.6 lakh kg in the previous decade. "In the last year alone, we’ve grabbed and destroyed 10 lakh kg of drugs," he noted proudly.

The ‘Namo Yuva Run’ will get a grand start on September 21, uniting lakhs of young Indians in a synchronized push for better fitness, discipline, and a brighter, drug-free future. If you’re a young Indian passionate about health and social causes, this could be your chance to make a real difference—keep an eye out for details in your city!
