Bihar Congress Sparks Outrage with AI Video of PM Modi and His Late Mother

A huge political controversy has blown up in Bihar after the Congress party shared an AI-generated video featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, Heeraben Modi. The clip, which takes a dig at the PM, has left the ruling NDA fuming, with leaders slamming it as a low blow in political attacks.

The video hit social media on Friday, showing PM Modi heading to bed after saying, "Vote chori has completed for the day." In a dream sequence, his mother appears and scolds him harshly. She complains about standing in long queues during demonetisation, making reels of her while he washes her feet, and using her name to gain votes in Bihar politics. The video wraps up with her voice asking, "How much more will you stoop for politics?"

NDA leaders didn’t hold back in their criticism. JD-U MLC and chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar blasted the Congress, saying, "The party is gripped by social prejudice in politics. They’ve gone too far by creating an AI video of the Prime Minister’s deceased mother—especially during Pitru Paksha. This insults our ancestors and shows Congress’s shamelessness at its peak."

He tied it to Bihar’s traditions, adding, "This is the land of Jagat Janani Sita. Bihar never tolerates disrespect to any mother and always hits back hard."

BJP spokesperson Arvind Kumar Singh echoed the anger, calling it "unfortunate" that Congress mocked the PM’s mother through AI. "They’re hurting the feelings of millions of mothers across India. For us, mothers are like goddesses—Durga, Laxmi, and Saraswati. Congress leaders must apologize right away."

The timing couldn’t be worse. Pitru Paksha rituals are underway in Bihar, honoring ancestors, and the state Assembly election campaign is heating up. This Bihar political controversy has become a major flashpoint between the BJP-JD-U alliance and the Congress-led INDIA bloc. NDA is ramping up calls for a public apology from Congress, turning the AI video row into a key election battleground.
