In Kolkata, a special five-day exhibition kicked off at the Indian Museum on Wednesday to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. The event dives into his incredible journey as a leader, from becoming Gujarat’s Chief Minister in 2001 to serving as India’s Prime Minister since 2014.
West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, former MP Locket Chatterjee, and actor-turned-BJP leader Rudranil Ghosh cut the ribbon to inaugurate the exhibition. It spotlights 25 years of Narendra Modi’s work as an administrator and shines a light on his top 75 achievements in politics.
“This isn’t about politics today—it’s all about sharing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s amazing accomplishments with everyone,” Bhattacharya said after the launch.
The display highlights major moves by the Modi government, like over 60 social security schemes. These include providing homes, building toilets, distributing free rations, delivering cooking gas connections, bringing electricity and clean drinking water to every household, offering free medical care, and launching job-creating projects in villages and cities.
Visitors can explore India’s big infrastructure push under PM Modi, from new national highways and railway upgrades to bridges, flyovers, and expanding Metro networks. The exhibition also zooms in on space triumphs like the Chandrayaan missions and the upcoming Gaganyaan program, plus huge strides in the digital India sector.
With global tensions rising, the showcase gives special attention to India’s military strength. It covers boosting homegrown defence production, modernizing armed forces tech, the tough stance against terrorism, standing firm against nuclear threats, and ensuring no enemy attacks reach Indian soil.
Don’t miss the focus on the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya—a highlight with stunning photos and stories. The exhibition also features the historic 1992 national flag hoisting at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, after a 14,000-kilometer journey from Kanyakumari. You’ll see how Modi transformed Gujarat during his time as Chief Minister, and how his government tackled the COVID-19 crisis head-on during the global pandemic.
This Narendra Modi exhibition in Kolkata is a must-see for anyone interested in his life, leadership, and India’s progress. It runs for five days, so head over to the Indian Museum to check it out!
