Lucknow – At the Diwali Karyakarta Parivar Milan Samaroh held at City Montessori School in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the event as a reflection of India’s age‑old Sanatan Dharma traditions.

He said the celebration links festivals to historic moments that shape society. “Our festivals give society a new direction,” Yogi explained.

During his speech, the CM highlighted the Ayodhya Deepotsav, which he said fulfilled the long‑promised Ram Temple project. “The lamp‑lighting vow has turned into the grand Ram Temple, now a worldwide symbol of pride for Sanatanis,” he declared. He added that the temple’s unveiling on November 25 will be even more magnificent.

Yogi reminisced that before 2014 and 2017, Hindu and Muslim festivals like Eid Milan were common, while gatherings on Sanatan festivals had been rare. “Now, Holi and Diwali millions‑light ceremonies show social harmony and unity,” he said.

He recalled his first Deepotsav proposal in 2017, when many doubted the purpose of lighting lamps. “Each lamp stood for the resolve of Sanatan Dharma,” Yogi said, adding that the same resolve birthed the Ram Temple.

The CM also noted the renaming of Faizabad to Ayodhya as a powerful reminder of the state’s past and present determination.

Emphasizing unity for a prosperous India, Yogi cited Prime Minister Modi’s centenary resolution that guides the nation toward security, prosperity, and self‑reliance. “Diwali Milan events strengthen our social fabric,” he said.

The chief minister urged citizens to support the Swadeshi movement. “On Dhanteras, buy indigenous utensils, gold, and silver. Just as the Defence Ministry equips the army with Indian‑made weapons, we must support home‑grown goods,” he advised.

He finished his speech by appealing to all to spread Diwali joy to those in need. “Give sweets, cow‑dung lamps, and Lakshmi and Ganesh idols to at least one poor family, so every household can celebrate the Festival of Lights,” Yogi urged.
