India’s cricket stars delivered a thrilling comeback to clinch the Asia Cup 2025 title, beating Pakistan by five wickets in a nail-biting final at Dubai International Stadium. Tilak Varma starred with an unbeaten 69, forming key partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube to chase down 147 runs and secure India’s second T20I Asia Cup win—and ninth overall, counting ODI versions.

This victory capped a perfect run against Pakistan, with India winning all three encounters: a seven-wicket triumph in the group stage, a six-wicket win in the Super Fours, and now this dramatic final showdown. Fans across the nation erupted in joy as the team ended the tournament on a high note.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised the team’s grit on X, saying their win not only made history on the field but also sparked national pride in every Indian heart. “This victory shows the hard work and determination of our players,” he added. “When India plays, the confidence of 1.4 billion people stands strong.” Sai wrapped up with hearty congratulations and “Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.”

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha echoed the excitement, calling it a proud moment for the country. In an X post from his office, he highlighted the team’s teamwork and winning spirit: “Well done, Team India! You’ve made us all proud.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi jumped in with a playful nod to India’s edge, tweeting: “#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same—India wins! Congrats to our cricketers.” Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the “phenomenal victory,” noting how the players’ energy overwhelmed rivals. “Bharat is destined to win, no matter the field,” he posted on X.

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar kept it simple and upbeat: “Congrats to Team India on winning the Asia Cup. New India delivers.” Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta tied the triumph to the ongoing Navratri festivities, telling reporters: “From the bottom of my heart, congratulations to the entire team. This historic win during Maa Durga’s Navratri is a joyous moment for our 144 crore people.”

The Asia Cup 2025 final showcased why India-Pakistan cricket matches always draw massive crowds worldwide, blending fierce rivalry with top-notch action. As celebrations continue, this win boosts Team India’s momentum heading into future tournaments.
