The BJP is upbeat about the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, saying the people of the state will give the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) another chance to govern.
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal told reporters that the mood across Bihar is one of “joy and optimism.” He highlighted the NDA’s recent work on improving roads, electricity, water supply, infrastructure and industry. Khandelwal pointed out new projects like a cricket stadium and the launch of metro services in Patna as proof of the government’s progress.
The party’s leaders also cited financial support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has poured Rs 14 lakh crore into Bihar’s development over the past 11 years. They mentioned major bridges and airports that have been built, and the deposit of Rs 10 000 into the accounts of more than one crore women in the state. Pensions have risen from Rs 400 to Rs 1 100, another point the BJP used to show its impact on ordinary voters.
BJP’s regional leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain echoed these points, emphasizing the partnership between Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. “Only the NDA can deliver good governance,” Hussain said, adding that the party is ready to win the next few weeks.
National General Secretary Tarun Chugh added that the NDA will defeat “dynastic and corrupt forces” and that new youth employment schemes worth Rs 62 000 crore will help the state’s growth. He stressed that the exchange of women’s welfare schemes and the commitment to self‑employment will keep the public’s trust.
The Election Commission has scheduled the Bihar Assembly polls in two phases: November 6 and November 11. Results will be announced on November 14. The BJP’s leaders remain confident that voters will again choose the NDA for Bihar’s future.
